Civil-patriotic education is one of the priority areas of educational work of the state educational institution "Loykava Secondary School". The main field of activity is the school complex museum of local lore "Sources" and the museum room of military Valor, feats and glories.

The initiator of the creation of the museum and its leader was a teacher of the Belarusian language and literature Hramlyuk Maria Iosifovna. Thanks to her efforts and fruitful work, on December 10, 2012, by the decision of the collegium of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, the integrated museum of local lore "Sources" of Loykavsk secondary school was given the status of a people. In 2018, the title of "people's" was confirmed.

Today, the museum operates under the leadership of Seletsky Leokadia Bronislavovna, a teacher of the Belarusian language and literature.

The museum includes the following sections:

1. From the history of the region.

2. The house is the universe of a Belarusian peasant.

2.1. Weaving and embroidery as an art form.

2.2. Connection of times - Belarusian rushnyk.

3. The traditional folk culture of the region.

4. Manor of the region.

The main fund of the museum has 1014 units, and the fund of scientific and auxiliary materials - 250 units.

The museum collection contains interesting ethnographic and local history material, documents on the history of the school, and information about local monuments.

Excursion service is conducted in Belarusian and Russian.

The most valuable museum items in our museum are:

- A silicon rectangular ax with an extension at the end;

- mammoth tusk, found on the banks of the Ostashanka River;

- an iron (shaver) with an iron core, with a pipe and a wooden handle, the end of the 19th century;

- an ax, mounted on an ax, with a blade on one side and a butt on the other, with the monogram "AN" of the 20th century;

- a tablecloth knitted on a frame, black with embroidery in the form of roses, with the monogram "K.I.", 1950

- Kozub, utensils for preserving cereal products, the end of the XIX century., Etc.

The museum council is actively collecting materials for the museum’s funds (hiking, expeditions, meetings with famous people, etc.).

The museum holds lessons in history, literature and language, art criticism, information and class hours, events on the sixth school day, the contents of which are related to the topics presented in the museum materials. A variety of forms and methods are used that allow you to include museum material in the educational process. These are lessons-excursions and lectures using museum objects as a teaching aid, self-preparation of messages, reports by students for lessons on assignments from teachers. Every year on September 1, on Knowledge Day, students of grades 1 and 5 spend their first lesson in a museum.

The space of the school museum is used to create a creative atmosphere of literary evenings, various meetings, competitions. Under the guidance of the teacher, the students developed thematic excursions “Great-grandmother’s shoes”, “Towels from the grandmother’s chest”, “House in the life of a Belarusian”, an excursion for students of the 1st grade, “I invite you to the museum”, actions “Give the museum an exhibit” are carried out, the following projects are being implemented: "Museum in a suitcase", an excursion-presentation of new museum items.
